What an amazing wall of portraits - all of women (?), such a beautiful collection.

The purples and aqua colours in this upholstery sing to me - and love that this classic chair and fabric is paired with sleek white furniture and a modern lamp.

Did you see the rest of Ruthie Sommers’ house in Lonny? So many classical elements and antiques paired with lots of colour - not to mention the gorgeous building that houses it all!

I love this vintage fashion shot- I’d love a big blown up version of it on a wall behind a sofa. Aren’t the colours beautiful?

Today, I’m looking at..

This cool black/white and green office. I actually really like the step down into the room, and the way the floors bring all the black elements together. And I love that snakeskin- finish bookshelf!

A grey scheme with this studded yellow stool - such a great colour combo and love the shapes.

These chairs that are currently for sale on etsy. Why, why, why are there always ten million cool bamboo pieces for sale in the States and never any here? It really drives me a little crazy sometimes, but I still like to look and dream.

Need I even comment? Who wouldn’t love and covet this real velvet French sofa?!

And this - Cindy Crawford’s mix of colours and cushions (I love Michael S Smith’s work because it’s very non-matchy-matchy and undecorated-looking, with a real mix of pieces and fabrics and very stylish).

Colours combined: Pink and Brown

Some time ago I mentioned that I wanted to replicate a pale pink living room I had seen in House Beautiful, but couldn’t find the clipping to post it. Well, here it is:

I just love it! Pairing the pale pink with lots of white works but could have been too feminine if it weren’t for the brown on the chairs, sofa and cameo cushions. It has me thinking about pink and brown as a colour pairing. Pink and grey would probably be my favourite colour combination, but I have a lot of brown furniture in my house, so I can imagine pink and brown being the next best option for me! I would love to give this combination a try..I think a man could live in the room above, don’t you? Here are some of my favourite pink and brown rooms:
