What trip anywhere would be complete without some antique shopping? Antique and junk shops are the first thing I look for wherever I go, so a whole day devoted to scouring the junk shops of Sydney was my idea of heaven! I loved these beautiful old painted wooden figurines (above and below).
I would have bought everything in this picture if I could have (above). The pine chest with marble top was so gorgeous and perfect for displaying beautiful things! Of course old LV luggage caught my eye, but I also loved the tin crown, old mirror, candelabras and glass canisters.
I bought as many of these old leather books as I could reasonably fit in my carry-on luggage! Yes, it’s an addiction.
Loved this painting but it was most definitely out of my price range (above). The clouds in it were beautiful.
I pined for this crusty old french mirror (above). I could have bought everything in this shop; it was all soft faded paint colours and french styles. If you see anything you’re interested in, please contact me for the seller’s details.

That fabulous sunburst mirror almost came home with me (above).

I just looove your blog…so much inspiration and so many great stuff…i am originally from Bangladesh but moved in Sydney 3 months back with my husband. I was wondering if you would help me with something….after looking at ur blogs i tried myself to have a go at junk shopping but all in vain because i couldn’t find any good ones and since im new here don’t know where to start from. I want to decorate my house with not too expensive stuff so i was wondering to buy some from those shops and renovate it and use them at home…can you please recommend me some junk shopping places in sydney…it will be of great help….
