In yesterday’s post I posted a pic of one of my favourite breakfast areas. Here’s another view of the same room:
I actually love that it’s not built-in; all you need to create an area like this is a firm, high-ish sofa and a couple of chairs.
But you can’t go past a built-in banquette bench when space is tight and you need potential seating for a number of people (above). I like the way the colours tie together but the overall look isn’t overly ‘done’ - the trim on the blind matches the kelly green vinyl on the seats, and the red piping on the (fabulous!) chair ties in with the toile wallpaper, red lantern (love it) and the cushions.
This pic (above) pains me a little because the table is identical to one I saw on ebay awhile ago - I didn’t buy it because it came with a whole bunch of dining chairs I didn’t want, but I’ve wished ever since I’d bought it anyway because the table was so gorgeous..
This one’s another favourite of mine (above), largely because I love the combination of black floors, sleek white joinery, that pale grey/blue leather and the marble surround on the walls. that greeny aqua wall paint and the light fitting are pretty great, too!
There’s that great wall colour again! Don’t the blues look great with the red bamboo chandelier (these lanterns are available through me if you’re wondering where you can buy one).
This is such a cool, slightly industrial look (above). The bench seat looks like a church pew, and I love that light and the glossy black door in the background.
Love this classic, neutral kitchen, with lots of lovely marble.
Yet another favourite (above): the corner bench with storage underneath, the woods wallpaper, antique table paired with Eiffel chairs, light fitting…
Have a great Tuesday! x

Oh I love the nook with the white marble and the neutral-colored zebra pillows! I love the mix of classic and the modern steel table.
Hi Lindsay, yes that’s always been a favourite of mine too. If I am in a neutral mood, that’s exactly the look I’d go for! Thanks for your comment, Naomi
Fabulous! Love that woods wallpaper room in particular. Thanks for sharing!
