More green love

Posted in green, Uncategorized

What is it about green for me at the moment? I am smitten and am feeling the urge to paint, recover, spray things in my house green left, right and centre! Just one more post on green and I might be over it for awhile..This is my favourite combination of the moment:

Green, purple and dusky pink, Oh I love it.

I really like the shade of green in this library (above). Though if it were mine I’d stain the floors dark, dark, dark, and the switch the blinds for streamlined romans with a green ribbon trim.

Just a little pop of emerald green (above). I’m always interested to see how people display their collection - we all have them, right? And this little cluster of green glass vases on a mantlepiece appeals to me, especially paired with the black-and-white rug (Ikea?) and photograph.

No pattern here, just simple green curtains, stool and upholstery, with relief in simple white walls and nautral sisal carpet.

I’ll never stop loving this famous blue and green living room from Domino (above).

My favourite shade: Kelly Green (above).

    Dear Naomi,

I too have adored Kelly Green for over 30 years… and love it with white, black and silver…plus purple or a dash of fushia. I feel like you may be me in ‘another’ lifetime…except you and I are here now, albeit generations apart. You clearly have a great sense for ‘clean’ spaces with a wonderful balance between enough in them and not too much. Enough for interest, no clutter. And you mesh different styles together effortlessly. Love your enthusiasm/s too.

    Merci beaucoup,
    Suzanne

Hi Suzanne, it can be a hard balance to achieve, but yes you’re spot on with what I like! I love the idea of kelly green with a dash of fuschia! Thanks for your comment! Naomi

Nomes, do you remember the green of the kitchen cupboards in our house growing up? And the retro green centre table with the shallow drawers in the front?! I’ve always had a big thing for green, I’m glad to see you have well and truly departed from your ‘grey’ obsession, well and truly. Gorgeous post! Any new green at your place? Xx

I think all the green in our house growing up put me off it for a long time! Now I love it and yes, as a matter of fact I do have some in the house now! xx

The simplicity of NO pattern in the green room from House Beautiful is refreshing!
