I am captivated this week by this beautiful stone country house. What an amazing entry (above) - the arched stone doorway flanked by giant cast iron urns takes my breath away! I love the row of french doors opening onto an iron balcony above.
Look at these patched stone walls and flagstone floors (above and below)! All the timber lintels and ceiling beams have been painted a French grey, which ties in perfectly with the painted French and Swedish furniture. I adore the juxtaposition of the ornate antiques against the rustic building, and the amazing crystal chandelier hanging from antique beams.
This last pic isn’t from the same house but to me it has a similar feel, pairing french antiques with rough stone walls and stripped timber floor. But my favourite thing is the staircase in the reflection - heavenly!!

That post makes me cry that I live where I do, it is just every kind of gorgeous! I just love the rustic stone walls and floors alongside the ornate decor and soft furnishings its just lovely.
