If you read online magazines and blogs then you’re no stranger to Betsey Burnham, and it’s likely that you’ve seen some of these pics before. But no catalogue of my inspiration images would be complete without her work, and I never get sick of looking at it. Her office (above and below) is famous, and with good reason- it’s gorgeous! I just love the black-and-white base with pops of colour thrown in. It’s funny because when her home appeared in 2005 in Instyle magazine I had no idea who she was but I was in love with her home, tore the pages out and still have them in my (bulging) files (a couple of those pics are in this post). The thing that stands out in her work is, of course, her use of colour. I also love the ikat and suzani fabrics that she seems to use quite a bit.

What great colours. How funny that you have had those pictures all that time and still love them. It’s amazing how our tastes can change so much over time but that we can also still appreciate and come back to the same things.
