I just love these two beautiful yet casual living rooms. They’ve been in my inspiration files for ages and ages. The one above is a little more elegant and neutral, with some french provincial touches. The zebra pillows and black and white striped rug keep it from looking formal. While I love the pale pinks and greens in the family-oriented open-plan room below. Can you spot the common element between the two? Yes! The zinc side tables - love them!
This is such a fantastic kitchen/dining/living room for a family with kids. It has not one but two built-in desks with storage - great for keeping an eye on homework and what the kids are looking at on the computer. I love all the white woodwork and the glimpse through to the staircase (below).

I adore both these living rooms and you are right, the casual style would work so well for a family. In my dream house I would have both the casual living room and the more elegant room for the adults! Thanks for sharing such inspiring pics.
