Yesterday’s post had some themes similar to today’s gorgeous room. A Persian rug, some blue stripes, a little wicker and a little shine (which happens to come from the table lamp in both posts). This is pretty much the perfect room for me; classic without being stuffy, great architecture and lots and lots of books!

Hi Naomi, yes I needed to comment this time! i agree with you and it has given me some inspiration! I have an old glass arch similar to the one in the photo which has been stored for many years…..I know what to do with it now…..thanks:-)
Hi Sue, Great to hear from you! The arch makes the room! Sounds fab
What a fabulous room Naomi! Very similar in style to your living room yesterday with the striped chair, blues and the traditional rug. What a great space!
This is my ideal style too! Love that it’s not all matchy matchy and there are a few rustic not perfect bits and pieces.
Hi Naomi, I love this library room! I agree it’s the perfect cross between country style and Hamptons. Fabulous.
Hi Tamsa, you’re right, it does have that relaxed feeling of a country retreat, and I think that’s why I love it so much! More warmth than just a beach house. Thanks for stopping by!
I think this is my kind of Hamptons style too! I can just imagine sitting there with the doors open, listening to the birds and reading a book. Great rooms, keep it coming!
Hi Mel, you know when I saw this pic (and I’ve noticed it many times before) I was struck by how much the success of the photo- the feeling of welcome it conveys - rests on the fact the french doors are open to the outside. Imagine if they were closed in the picture- a totally different feeling!
