I’ve been looking at houses online ahead of the weekend and dreaming of a bedroom with a view, a pitched ceiling and a fireplace- just like my all-time number one favourite bedroom (above), decorated by Michael Smith and belonging to Cindy Crawford. I’m starting to come to the conclusion that I may need to build a house!
Another favourite also happens to be by the same decorator:
I picture this as my country house bedroom! Just love all the layering of fabric and pattern, and the blues. I really am itching to get started on a new project…
See you next week,
Isn’t this house designed by Celerie Kemble featured in Elle Decor amazing? Quite traditional but with a few more modern touches, and lots of beautiful shades if blue. To me it just has that feeling of high-end decorating – no ebay bargains here!
Love a good salon arrangement of small artworks.
What an amazing piece of furniture (above)! Love the blue chinoiserie wallpaper and the Chinese celadon vases.
My favourite room in the house has got to be the lacquered powder-blue walk-in wardrobe. This is definitely one for my Dream House!

There’s something about having books and art around that really make you want to spend time in a room, don’t you think? A huge fabulous window and blue chesterfield don’t hurt, either! And of course, an informal round dining table and cheery yellow chairs can’t help but be inviting.
We’re heading into a lovely long weekend, and I’m hoping for at least a little sunshine so that I can make some headway on the many furniture-painting projects that await me (and so we’re not all stuck inside all weekend). I hope you have a great weekend, whatever you’re up to!
