Hi Mel, you know I have actually seen a couple of examples of small-scale new builds in my area in this style- and I love both of them. But mainly for reasons of cost I’d be looking at building out of the city – I like the idea of a house that can spread out and have views across countryside (yes, I’m a romantic!). But I think just about any style can be adapted to a suburban environment. Naomi x

I also love this style of building and architecture. The overhanging terraces and balconies would be perfect for our summer climate. Go for it! The interiors here are beautiful too.

Beautiful! Love the idea of the exposed timber beams and the rooms linked with doorways but no hallways. Would this work on a suburban block though? Keep it up, love the images and inspiration!
