In between all my Sydney photos I wanted to share with you my latest little home project. I recently picked up this little stool in a junk shop for $35. It was ugly with a capital ‘U’ but it was solid and had that key ingredient: Potential.
I originally planned to paint the legs white and recover the top with something blue and white but then I found some black and white striped upholstery fabric in an op shop for $1. It also meant I didn’t have to repaint the black legs. Ten minutes with the staple gun after getting home and it now looks like this:
The book in the picture, ‘The One Hundred’ by Nina Garcia (of Marie Claire / Project Runway fame) was given to me for Christmas by a lovely friend. I can recommend it as essential reading for any stylish woman or any woman who aspires to be stylish (like me).
