My two favourite things in the world would have to be decorating and antique/junk shopping, and today I had a little bit (or a lot) of both. I had to look at fabrics for a couple of jobs I am doing (I’ll post about them soon!), so got to immerse myself in the wonderful world of fabric houses for several hours. There are so many gorgeous fabrics out there, including these beauties (from Schumacher of course):
I also managed to squeeze in some shopping and found a few treasures: an etching to add to my ‘etching wall’ (though I may change the brown matt to a white one) for $5, a boat oil painting to add to my collection that am planning to put on a wall in my boys’ room ($2 can you believe it?) and an old etched-glass (you can’t see the etchings on it in the pic) champagne bucket. It need a good clean then I’ll fill it with shells and coral. The chair in the pic is one of a pair I picked up on ebay a little while ago (read about it here), and I have yet to do anything with them. I want to re-paint the frame and recover them too. I have been counting my blessings today.
